Atsushi Shishido
Professor
Polymer materials chemistry
Biography
Atsushi Shishido received his Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) in 1999. In 2001, he became Assistant Professor at Tokyo Tech after working with Profs. Khoo and Mallouk in the Pennsylvania State University as a MRSEC Postdoctoral Fellow. He was promoted as Full Professor (2016) at Tokyo Tech. He received the Award for Encouragement of Research in Polymer Science by the Society of Polymer Science, Japan (2005) and SPSJ Hitachi Chemical Award (2009). His research interests include design and photonic and mechanical applications of functional polymer materials.
Expectations for WRHI
I am interested in collaboration on polymer materials with new functions.
