Expectations for WRHI

Our group collaborates with the group of Prof. Masaaki Fujii at Tokyo Institute of Technology since two decades. This intense collaboration is documented in several joint project proposals (DFG/JSPS) and many joint publications and review articles in highly-ranked journals (>35 since 2005). We employ complementary spectroscopic techniques in the Berlin and Tokyo laboratories to determine the structure and dynamics of biomolecules and their clusters. Specific current topics include the study of solvation dynamics, biomolecular recognition (e.g., neurotransmitters), and intermolecular forces (e.g., hydrogen bonding, -stacking, charge resonance interactions in aromatic molecules).
