Biography

Hiroyuki Kambara received the B.Sc. degree in computer science in 2002, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering, in 2004 and 2007, all from Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITECH), Tokyo, Japan. He is now an Assistant Prof. at the Precision and Intelligence Laboratory of TITECH. His research interests include neural motor control and motor learning.

Expectations for WRHI

To advance the knowledge about how our brain generates accurate and sophisticated body movements, I would like promote international collaboration research in computational neuroscience, biomechanics, and brain function imaging fields.

Research Projects

  • We proposed computational model for neural motor learning of reaching movements.

  • We found perception of the weight of objects is systematically affected by prediction error of the timing when objects are placed on the hand.
