Biography

Shinya Hanaoka is a professor at the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, School of Environment and Society, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He received a Ph.D., a master’s degree, and a bachelor’s degree from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. He has worked as a researcher at the Institute for Transport Policy Studies in Tokyo, an assistant professor at Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, and an associate professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He has published more than 100 international and national scientific papers. He is currently a treasurer of Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS), a member of Steering Committee in World Conference on Transportation Research Society (WCTRS), a member of Networking Committee in Air Transport Research Society (ATRS).
