Biography

I have been engaged in the field of metallurgy, the important application of which is also my current topic developed as "Nuclear Safety Metallurgy"

Expectations for WRHI

To solve the global challenging issues, this scheme is of great importance toward possible expansion and fusion of conventional academic fields by collaboration with world famous researchers and professors in the field of materials engineering.

Research Projects

  • MEXT/NIMS Project of Elemental Strategic Magnet Materials Base

On the basis of the investigation of thermodynamic property of oxygen in rare earth elment bearing magnetic material by the chemical equilibrium method, effective deoxdation process will be suggested which greatly improve the coercivity at high temperature.

    FY 2012-2021

Magnetic material, high coercivity, oxygen, thermodynamics, chemical equilibrium

Dr. Taichi Abe, Chief researcher, National Institute for Materials Science
    Prof. Toshiyuki Koyama, Nagoya University

  • OECD/NEA Thermodynamic Characterization of Fuel Debris and Fission Products in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.(TCOFF Project)

To contribute the safety and prompt decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, thermodynamic properties of fuel debris material and fission product elements are extensively investigated by the world-wide international collaboration, through which deep discussion effective suggestions will be made toward the removal of fuel debris.

    Fy 2018-

Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, decommissioning, fuel debris, fission product, thermodynamics, international collaboration

Dr. Nathan Andrews, Sandia National Laboratory, United States of America
Prof. Valentina Stolyarova, Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation
